This is a collection of Toshimitsu Sato’s photographs who’s been based in the Netherlands and working as a motorcycle sports photographer on the European Continent for the race events such as Grand Prix World Motocross. The pictures compiled in this book were taken at the International Six Days Enduro which Sato experienced for the first time in his early days. Apart from the ones which have already appeared in Japanese motorcycle magazines at that time, or have been put on show in his photographic exhibitions, many of the photos here have never been published before. Since we are surrounded by, and obliged to consume, a flood of information in the world of today, the visual images of the days which have long since passed are too often left untouched and forgotten. However we found Sato’s works too valuable to end up in his attic, so decided to publish in our own way. As an enthusiast of a motorsport called Enduro, a fan of Toshimitsu Sato’s photographic art, and of course an editor, I feel I get more blessing than I deserve by helping him publish his own works and create an opportunity to attract attention from fans and also the people who have never heard his name before.
